Itinerary

Choose from three beautiful routes leading to Zmutt:

Route 1 - The Classic Trail

A gentle and scenic walk through alpine meadows with beautiful views of traditional mountain architecture and the surrounding peaks.

Route 2 - Part of the Cultural Trail with Blacknose sheep Barns

A quieter high route following part of the Cultural Trail, offering beautiful views over Zermatt. The route gradually ascends through larch forests towards historic barns traditionally used by Zermatt’s famous Blacknose sheep.

Our favorite route follows the Cultural Trail past centuries-old barns and traditional alpine landscapes, culminating in spectacular panoramic of the Matterhorn that most visitors never experience.
